Skyfire Looks to Save Windows Mobile Web Browsing
With iPhone users now being treated to a desktop like web experience on a portable device, jealous Windows Mobile users have had to cough up twenty-five smackers for Opera Mobile to get a mediocre (but at least functional) mobile web browser. But it looks like Opera’s stranglehold as the only decent mobile web experience may be coming to and an end when Skyfire makes its first public appearance. Promising a desktop like browsing experience, complete with support for flash, YouTube, ajax, and more, Skyfire looks to be heaven sent for Windows Mobile users. Check out a video demo of Skyfire and get more info at TechLore.com. (Read the full post about ‘Skyfire Looks to Save Windows Mobile Web Browsing’…)

Review: PQ Talking Photo
Have you ever visited a website called JibJab.com? If not chances are you have probably seen one of their videos. JibJab.com has developed a technology which can take a photo of a anyone and animate it to talk, sing, dance and pretty much do anything. JibJab.com took their technology to the next level when they introduced “Starring You!“. Using an online interface you can import photos of your friends and family and actually insert them into short videos. Surely, an easy night of entertainment. Now a new piece of software allows you to not only animate people, but instead of a face “cut-out” like that offered on JibJab.com, the software animates the photo of a person within the photo you import into it. Olympus SP-570 UZ ultra zoom hands-on

Olympus SP-570 UZ ultra zoom hands-on
Posted Jan 31st 2008 1:37PM by Steven KimFiled under: Digital Cameras Fujifilm may have laid claim to “smallest 12x zoom,” but Olympus’ SP-570 UZ blows by that with a 20x optical zoom. In case you didn’t know, the “UZ” stands for “ultra zoom.” Not a bad piece of glass; f/2.8 - f/4.5 with dual image stabilization so you can actually use the 20x end of the lens. The 10-megapixel sensor and full manual control options make sense on this high-end digicam, as does the hot shoe for a flash. (Read the full post about ‘Olympus SP-570 UZ ultra zoom hands-on’…)

Track your Domino’s pizza online

Track your Domino’s pizza online

I eat a lot of pizza, one might even call me a connoisseur of the pizza pie. I sample the (usually) circular dishes from a variety of restaurants on a regular basis. I’d say about half the time I choose the option to have my food delivered. During those forty minutes or so, I’m constantly wondering exactly when my pizza will get here. Well the fine folks at Domino’s Pizza have gone above and beyond to make sure you know where your pizza is, and what it’s doing. If you’re sitting at home wondering if your pizza has even left the store yet, you can hop on the Domino’s website, plug in your phone number and get the details. RIM’s BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway to offer Bluetooth music streaming
Posted Jan 31st 2008 10:44AM by Paul MillerFiled under: Cellphones, Home Entertainment, Portable Audio, Wireless The FCC is on a roll this morning. It appears RIM has a Bluetooth music streaming device in the works, the BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway, and the device just got the A-OK from the FCC. The unit works pretty much exactly like you’d expect: you just pair your BlackBerry device with the Gateway, plug some speakers into the 3.5mm jack, and you’re off to the races. Music is in stereo, and while we’re guessing that means A2DP, there’s nothing in the user manual that indicates this is compatible with other types of phones. Mobile office sphere

Mobile office sphere
In case you like travelling and have a laptop you will probably agree that sitting with the laptop on your knees can not be regarded as a comfortable pastime. But sometimes it’s really impossible to find a convenient place for using your laptop. Maybe there is something that should be invented to make this process easier? Michiel van der Kley who has been producing designs since 1987 has just the same opinion. That’s why he decided to design Globus concept that shows his creativity and imagination. Globus represents a multi-functional mobile office that looks like a sphere. When the gadget is closed its strange design can attract the most curious of spectators, but in case it’s opened people will understand its function at once. Sanwa Peripherals For the PC

Sanwa Peripherals For the PC
I’m not too sure whether anyone misses their notebook’s touchpad whenever they’re sitting in front of a PC, but apparently Sanwa thinks so with its new peripherals that come in wired and unwired varieties. Both of them feature a full keyboard complete with a touchpad at the bottom, just like your regular notebook to feel at home. No idea on how much this costs though, but I can’t see myself picking one up anytime soon or even in the near future. Soft Light concept

Soft Light concept

Those of us who do our fair bit of reading will know that having light reflect off paper can be quite annoying. The Soft Light concept offers the reader with a luminescence which can be positioned according to the user’s needs. In addition, it can function as both an indoor or outdoor lighting, offering unprecedented flexibility to the user. The slim and flexible body allows a person to adjust its “neck” accordingly for optimal lighting. As for the lamp holder, it functions as a charger that helps juice up the lamp for outdoor use. Anyone wants to see this concept realized? (Read the full post about ‘Soft Light concept’…)
