Cyber Famulator Lite for DS bulks up to get old school
Posted Feb 2nd 2008 4:47PM by Darren MurphFiled under: Gaming, Handhelds, Peripherals Legitimate (read: legal) Famicon support for your DS Lite may seem like a dream come true for the retro gamer, but Cyber Gadget’s Cyber Famulator Lite might be a little much to ask for all but the geekiest. You have to strap on a (barely) pared down “famiclone” system onto your cute little portable, but pulling out and blowing into a dirty old Metroid cart on the go will no doubt be a privilege for some.[Via ExtremeTech]Tags: Ogg Vorbis, lcd, cameras, video game (Read the full post about ‘Cyber Famulator Lite for DS bulks up to get old school’…)

PMA08 : Boda Lens Bags

Written by admin on Saturday, February 2nd, 2008 in Gadgets and Devices.

I’ve been through my share of camera bags. I think I own about 8 of them in various sizes. I started out with Lowepro, but I had some issues with their quality and on one of my bags in particular the buckle kept coming loose from the shoulder strap… DANGER!

I now use Tamrac bags exclusively and have 4 of them, from a fairly tiny one that only fits a camera and a flash to a gigantic one that fits all my medium format equipment. The one I now use almost exclusively is the Super Pro 17 (617). The 617 allows me to carry to bodies with lenses attached including my 70-200 f/2.8 L IS.

Did Voce die overnight, without warning?
Posted Feb 2nd 2008 11:41AM by Ryan BlockFiled under: Cellphones We don’t yet know for sure what’s up, but we’re hearing that customers of Voce, the luxury MVNO based on AT&T’s network, woke up on February 1st to zero service, dead customer service lines, and even some crazier claims like being double-billed for the final month of service. We gave their sales lines — usually the very last thing to go down — a ring, and got no reply. It’s possible this could be some kind of huge misunderstanding and outage on Voce’s part, which we do hope it is, because if they did shut down they certainly did so in about the most abrupt, impudent way imaginable. Beauty Water Shower Purification System

Beauty Water Shower Purification System
I’m clumsy as hell, generally disorganized, and socially awkward, but I have awesome hair - strawberry blond to red, easy-to-cut, body and bounce all the time. My stylists have always loved playing and experimenting with it. A favorite product line of mine is produced by Jonathan Antin Product (you might remember Jonathan Antin - stylist to the stars - seen on Bravo’s show Blow Out). In addition to the wonderful shampoos, conditioners, oil sprays, and finishing products, comes the Beauty Water Shower Purification System. With all his years of experience, Jonathan took to experimenting with pure, filtered spring water when working with brittle, damaged hair and dry skin, and has a portfolio packed with a-listing results. Digital camera rain cover

If you think that getting a waterproof digital camera case for your precious photo-snapping device might be a bit over the top, why not settle for the Hydrophobia 300 - 600? This is touted to be the first rain cover that was meant to be pre-mounted for quick deployment. Perfect for those who work in the field and don’t want the unpredictable weather to spoil not only the shot but equipment, it can be deployed quickly and without hassle. The Hydrophobia is capable of fitting over a 300 f2.8, 400 f2.8, 500 f4, and 600 f4 lenses, ideally pitting it in the sports and nature photography markets. The fabric used claims to be 10 times more waterproof than standard fabric, relying on a “film” on the underside instead of a “spray” coating. (Read the full post about ‘Digital camera rain cover’…)

PMA08 : GE Digicams

Written by admin on Saturday, February 2nd, 2008 in Gadgets and Devices.

When it comes to popular digital cameras manufacturers, GE isn’t exactly a name that comes to mind. Believe it or not, GE’s General Imaging division has some new cameras with pretty rocking features like HD video recording (720p MPEG4), ISO 3200, 12 megapixel sensors, image stabilization and face detection. One of their cameras even has a kickass feature that no other major manufacturer offers, a built in GPS receiver.

The E1050 is a 10 megapixel digicam with 720P HD movie recording, a 3 inch LCD, face detection, 5x optical zoom and low-light friendly ISO 3200. The feature that makes it stand out from the crowd is the embedded GPS receiver. The GPS chip from Geotate embeds the raw GPS data into the image files.
