MSN Direct For Windows Mobile

Written by admin on Monday, February 11th, 2008 in Gadgets and Devices.

MSN Direct For Windows Mobile
The MSN Direct service is now available for Windows Mobile devices. We tested it and it works. It lets users get stock tickers and breaking news more conveniently than going to a website with Pocket Internet Explorer. As you can see on the photo above, the light green rectangle is MSN Direct. It shows some news right there, but by going left and right, you can look at weather forecasts and stock tickers too. There’s also an advertisement for Microsoft services in the mix… Tags: design, M4A, wireless, mobile devices (Read the full post about ‘MSN Direct For Windows Mobile’…)

When your Real Voice Just will Not do, Use a Voice Changing Telephone
I am sure that this voice changing telephone will not give you a hard assed gravely smokers voice like my childhood friend Jeff had.  That guy had a full beard by the time he was fifteen and he sounded mean as sin on the telephone.  He would have made a good repo man.  The voice changing telephone, which is either for making prank phone calls or for nefarious purposes, will raise or lower your voice through an inbuilt voice modulation  unit.  All you need is a vacant land line jack and a spare $10. Available where else but from Chinavasion. (Read the full post about ‘When your Real Voice Just will Not do, Use a Voice Changing Telephone’…)

The Advantage version had some interesting features including a 5-inch VGA display, Intel PXA720 624 MHz processor, 3 megapixel camera, 8GB hard drive, Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS. HTC has recently unveiled the newest version of the Advantage, the X7510. They have made some serious upgrades which includes doubling the internal memory (16GB in comparison to the former 8GB). They have also added on TouchFLO, Opera Mobile 9, as well as Google Maps. There is also a rumor that it will contain Windows Mobile 6.1. It still has some of the basic features of the old Advantage, such as the 5 inch VGA display, tri-band HSDPA, as well as quad-band GSM/GPRS. (Read the full post about ‘HTC Advantage X7510′…)

Hands-on with LG’s QWERTY clamshell, the KT610
Posted Feb 11th 2008 7:51AM by Sean CooperFiled under: Cellphones We had no luck getting pics of this guy last night, but yahoo, we had a chance to play today. Putting the KT610 through its paces — albeit in a crazy fast way — we were completely underwhelmed by the interface speed and the screen, when open, is in a pretty odd position to actually read. Aside from those little details, this is a pretty slick little handset, here’s hoping they sort the hardware to give it a little speed boost. LG KT610 At MWC
[MWC] LG just announced its LG-KT610 candybar cell phone that comes in a rather unorthodox form factor, featuring a 2.4″ VGA display that flips open to reveal a QWERTY keypad that makes it a snap to compose and send messages on-the-go. It will run on the Symbian OS v9.2 and S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1, boasting the following specifications :- HSDPA connectivity at 3.6Mbps GPS navigation capabilities Push email functionalityNo idea on how much this will cost, but don’t expect it to be easy on your pockets though. This looks as though it targets business suits more than home users, although a power geek certainly wouldn’t mind using one. (Read the full post about ‘LG KT610 At MWC’…)

Netflix Drops HD DVD
HD DVD is under siege from all directions, and the latest “attack” comes in the form of Netflix announcing that it won’t be offering HD DVD movies on its mail-based subscriptions, leaving Blu-ray being the only high definition format available. While HD DVD titles can still be rented, Netflix won’t be adding more of these to their catalog and will phase out the format once the discs are done with their rental cycles. GG HD DVD, we hardly knew ye. Tags: toys, laptops, cellphone, MP3 (Read the full post about ‘Netflix Drops HD DVD’…)
