LongHorn intro’s the basic GoGo800 GPS
This new LongHorn GoGo800 GPS is one that comes with many features but manages to remain a basic one. Even without the price being known, it will probably be an inexpensive GPS, however, still worth every penny. Beginning with its screen, it comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, memory expansion via SD/MMC cards, which can be used to add on any additional maps or music/video, and a 20 channel GPS receiver. Additionally, it comes with a nice 1300mAh battery, which offers a battery life of around 3 to 4 hours on a single charge. Since it uses SD/MMC cards, it obviously plays music and video, and it supports formats including MP3, WMA, WAV, ASF, AVI, MP4, WMV, JPEG, BMP, GIF, and PNG. Fujitsu to offer 320GB HDD

Written by admin on Monday, March 24th, 2008 in Gadgets and Devices.

Fujitsu has plans to release a new high-performance range of hard drives this June that target notebooks and laptops, bringing up to 320GB of storage space to the table. The MHZ2 BJ series will feature 7,200rpm which is way faster than what today’s most common drives offer - 5,400rpm. This new line of drives will sip 2.3 watts for read/write operations over a SATA interface, which means you probably won’t suffer from a shorter battery life despite superior performance.

MD Sound’s KO-GPS4 navigator includes e-book reader
Posted Mar 24th 2008 11:03AM by Darren MurphFiled under: GPS, Handhelds Can’t say it’s likely that you’ll find MD Sound products on just any ole store shelf, but for those that look hard enough, they can procure the firm’s latest PND, the KO-GPS4, right now. Carefully watching his words, the outfit’s head of product development notes that “as far as [it] can tell, [this unit is] the first personal navigation device to include the popular e-book capability.” Beyond that, you’ll find a built-in MP3 / video player, photo viewer, Li-ion battery good for three hours on a full charge and a 4.3-inch touchscreen. Yeah, the $249.99 sticker may be tempting at first glance, but we’re pretty confident you can still do better for two and a half bills. Wood Guitars for Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero has become a very popular game recently with many people trying to rock away to their favourite music. A company named Peavey customshop is creating some great controllers for the game in the shape of real wood guitars. Each guitar is hand made and painted and the images are embedded under a protective coating to help protect the guitars from scratches. The guitars help to bring you one step closer to the real thing by giving you the look and feel of a real wood guitar. You have a couple of choices when having a guitar made from ready made guitars which feature Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, Kiss to name a few. The other option is to use your own custom logo to be painted on the guitar. (Read the full post about ‘Wood Guitars for Guitar Hero’…)

Acer’s Eee competition to have lower price tag, more beautiful eyes
Posted Mar 24th 2008 9:19AM by Joshua TopolskyFiled under: LaptopsAccording to a report on the lately-talkative Acer, the company’s first iteration of Eee PC-competition will be somewhat cheaper than ASUS’ current (and future) sticker prices. In a scant article, speculation abounds that the first wave of Acer-made 8.9-inch laptops will be priced around $350 to $400, while ASUS will market its 8.9-inch micro-top for $50 to $100 more. Word on the street is that Acer will launch its cheapo solution sometime in May, but ASUS will preempt the introduction with an April landing for the 2nd generation Eee.
