Rumor: Sprint to launch Treo 800w in July
Said to replace the Treo 700wx is the new Treo 800w. No official word yet from Sprint as this is a mere speculation as only a release chart has already been leaked. July is reportedly the release date of the long awaited Treo 800w, but let’s hope Sprint releases it as soon as possible. Rumored features include EvDO Rev A, Wi-Fi, Windows Mobile 6.0 and A-GPS among others. Camera and non-camera versions of the Treo are expected to become available. Looks like the Treo 800w will the dethrone the 700w as Treo’s flagship Pocket PC with Windows Mobile Professional. Still only a rumor, there is a big chance that this could be true as Palm’s Ed Colligan recently stated that the company will be releasing their new smartphone line up before the end of summer. “Almost Invisible” Line of Urban Chic Clothing

“Almost Invisible” Line of Urban Chic Clothing
SkinScan announced today the completion of its “Almost Invisible” line of urban chic clothing. With the motto “My Color is My Sensuality,” Jerold Kritchman, founder of SkinScan, speaks to his belief that there are exotic colors inherent in women’s skin that are glamorous. Using new digital micro-chip image sensors, new coloring chemistry and printer design, aided by computers and propriety software, it is now possible to record a person’s skin-tone and reproduce it on fabric. This creates an illusion that there is no fabric there. Mixing Computer Graphics Technology with Specific Coloring Technology allows for the production of clothing that looks invisible when worn and opens whole new worlds for clothing designers to work within. Yet another Microsoft white space device fails FCC testing
Posted Mar 30th 2008 11:02AM by Nilay PatelFiled under: Wireless Although several other companies have submitted white space devices to the FCC — we know Philips has one in, and Google’s making a lot of noise about new and improved reference designs — it looks like Microsoft’s run of bad luck with the tech continues, with yet another white space transceiver unexpectedly failing during FCC tests last week. There’s no word on if the latest unit failed for the same power-related reasons as the previous test devices, but Microsoft’s doing a little damage control and saying that the FCC hasn’t found any interference with TV signals so far, and that it’s easier to pull the plug now and let other, non-MS devices finish out testing. Dsus DS-400GB rear view camera

Dsus DS-400GB rear view camera

The Dsus DS-400GB rear view camera is truly a thing of wonder - it looks like a standard rear view camera, but offers way much more functionality compared to the standard rear view mirror you get in your vehicle. Hailing all the way from the East (China), don’t be misled by the Dsus DS-400GB name given to the device. It is not an offshoot of Asus, and neither does it feature 400GB worth of storage space. The Dsus DS-400GB itself comes with a video input that allows you to hook up a rear-mounted camera. This camera will kick in the moment the vehicle is put into reverse, switching from whatever current GPS information display to a live view of whatever’s located right behind your car. Nokia N96 rumored to have Xenon flash
The Nokia N96 seems to be the epitome of an all-in-one. It has a nice, large 2.8-inch QVGA screen that displays up to 16.7 million colors. Stereo speakers are built-in for audiophiles, as well as a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. It will let you connect to all the right places using a Mini-USB port, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, WiFi, HSDPA, and DVB-H TV Tuner. It’s got a whopping 16GB of internal memory and that can be supplemented with up to 16GB MicroSD cards via the previously mentioned Mini-USB port. And it’s got a 5-megapixel camera like most other top-notch camera phones currently available. Now although these are all a bunch of really great features, I have to say something’s missing. The Nokia N810 - WiMAX Edition

The Nokia N810 - WiMAX Edition
The highly rumored WiMAX-enabled Nokia N810 may have gotten “unofficially” confirmed with an image spotted on Nokia’s Tableteer site, which comes a few days shy of CTIA. It appears the sneak peak at the Nokia N810 WiMAX Edition was unscripted, as the teaser image and related links can no longer found on the website. Judging by the picture, it looks exactly like the old N810 Internet Tablet, except the WiMAX version sports a black suit. At this point, little else is known; however, Nokia is scheduled to roll out a press release on Tuesday, the same day CTIA begins, called “Press Conference in the Sky”—which should settle this rumor once and for all. Stay tuned. Portable iPod Video Enlarger And DVD Player

Let’s face the facts - the iPod doesn’t exactly come with the largest display in the world now, does it? Being a portable media player to boot, screen real estate is a very important criteria to consider if you plan to watch countless hours of video on it. This is the portable DVD player that integrates with 5th Generation video iPods, allowing you to watch ipod videos on a 8 1/2″, 16:9 widescreen LCD that is 2 3/4 times larger than the iPods screen. Using active matrix technology, the LCD can redraw images faster than typical LCD monitors, resulting in a sharper, more detailed resolution. Atom processor to cost Intel just $6 to $8?
Posted Mar 30th 2008 5:46AM by Darren MurphFiled under: Handhelds, Laptops, Tablet PCsEver since Intel compared the criticality of its (still) forthcoming Silverthorne (which now goes by Atom, if you couldn’t guess) processor to the original Pentium last June, we’ve all wondered just how fantasmical our worlds would become when this thing finally dropped. Now, however, Tom’s Hardware has discovered that the release may actually do more for Intel than we geeks. (Read the full post about ‘Atom processor to cost Intel just $6 to $8?’…)

Urban Outfitters say it out loud

Urban Outfitters say it out loud

Urban Outfitters have just unveiled a couple of headphones that are really too large for their own good, making an extremely pronounced stand where music playback is concerned. The Grande headphones will ship in a neon pink and green color or just plain black (which always stands against the test of time), accompanied by a coiled cord that makes carrying it around a whole lot less bulky. In addition, you can use the Grande headphones with your cell phone, allowing you to listen to your mom with greater clarity as she nags you on the umpteenth time to clear the room. As for the Stiloso headphones, they’re even more retro looking, so it really depends on your budget as to which headset to pick up. (Read the full post about ‘Urban Outfitters say it out loud’…)

3G mobile service to be tested in China
China Mobile Communications Corp, the largest network provider in China are ready to begin testing of their 3G network using the TD-SCDMA standard. The test which is set to begin next week will include some 20,000 phones and 5,000 data cards that will be issued throughout Bejing and seven other cities. While there has not been any indication on how long the testing phase will last, China has previously stated that they hoped to have an active 3G network in place before the beginning of the Beijing Olympics, which begins in August. Beijing has been trying to get the new infrastructure in place since 2001, but the network being as large as it is, needs a mammoth overhaul.
