Gemini P29 wireless keyboard, so feature-packed it’ll confuse you
Here’s a contraption that would go nicely with your monster computer lounge setup. It’s the Gemini P29 wireless keyboard, which supposedly is the world’s “first 5-in-1.” However I haven’t been successful in clearly identifying what the other three features are, aside from it being a keyboard and a wireless remote. It’ll measure larger than most average-sized keyboards, but the reason for this can be clearly seen - extra buttons and a joystick put on top, possibly for added convenience and more control. A 10 meter (about 33 foot) radius is afforded to you via a USB dongle for your PC, so you can control your PC apps, among other things, remotely. Interested in getting one? Samsung F110 miCoach Review - Mirror

Written by admin on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 in Gadgets and Devices.

Mirror reviews the Samsung F110 miCoach and writes, “The phone itself boasts a 2MP camera, GPRS, EDGE and Bluetooth connectivity (but no 3G), 1GB of storage and an FM radio. And, while it’s no substitute for a flesh-and-blood personal trainer, the shameful stats the miCoach provided this reviewer with certainly helped motivate him to start working out more regularly…Relatively easy to use, the fitness features are certainly no gimmick, and anyone looking to get in shape should find it useful.”

Samsung Ace Review (Sprint) - CrunchGear

Samsung Ace Review (Sprint) - CrunchGear
CrunchGear reviews the Samsung Ace (Sprint) and writes, “The backside of the device features a speakerphone and 1.3-megapixel camera (no flash) that’s capable of recording and playing MPEG4, H.263, and WMV video formats…Despite its drawbacks — my biggest gripe being the proprietary connections — I found the SPH-i325 to be a great phone, one I’d be more than happy to use on a day to day basis. The form factor and the keyboard are especially excellent and the middling speed and battery life wouldn’t be enough to deter me from using it regularly. If you’re in the market for a solidly-built Windows mobile phone for keeping up with e-mails and surfing the net, you’ll be pleased with the SPH-i325.” Read more about the Samsung Ace. Rock Port, MO is first US town to be Wind-powered

Written by admin on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 in Gadgets and Devices.

In what is a great first, Rock Port, Missouri became the first US town to be completely powered by wind energy. They now have 4 wind turbines generating 16 Gigawatts of power annually (they require about 13). Granted that Rock Port is a relatively small town with a population of under 1400, this move demonstrates that alternative energies are not just talk and dreams.

Yahoo! searches get safer with McAfee

Written by admin on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 in Gadgets and Devices.

McAfee have a very useful and free browser plug-in called SiteAdvisor. Once installed searches done on the most popular search engines have a traffic light symbol rendered next to the results. It offers users an extra level of security; and by mousing over the symbol more information on how good or bad that site is appears in a pop-up.

Now Yahoo! and McAfee have teamed up to offer SearchScan, which integrates SiteAdvisor directly into Yahoo! search results. It provides information on how risky the different search results are, as well as offering you settings for filtering adult web, video and image results.

SearchScan should already be available to those accessing Yahoo!
