In the latest of a series of when-can-I-get-the-Triac false starts, the three-wheeled electric car of obscene cuteness has a real launch date. No, really. According to AutoblogGreen, Green Vehicles is accepting pre-orders for July delivery of the Triac, which means you could actually be silently cruising the beaches in this thing come summer. For those concerned about safety and all that “not dying” stuff, Green Vehicles has assured the press that a safety cage designed by race car fabrication experts has been integrated into the car’s design. Also, they promise that the lithium-ion batteries are good for at least 2000 cycles, which should last you about 5 years. VoodooBuddy Gets Update

VoodooBuddy Gets Update
Apparently in this day and age where technology rules supreme, there are still some folks who prefer to rely on good old voodoo magic to take revenge instead of backstabbing one through e-mail and forums. The VoodooBuddy brings voodoo magic to the 21st century, where you enter the information of your most despised foe, followed by poking away at the doll as you please. The same theory applies here - poking certain areas of the doll supposedly allows you to curse the victim. Strangely enough, if you go overboard on your curses, it will snap a photo and send it to the victim instead automatically in order to reverse the curses. I suppose it ought to be connected to the computer or something in order for this to happen. (Read the full post about ‘VoodooBuddy Gets Update’…)

Three Legs Good: A Guide To Tripods

Three Legs Good: A Guide To Tripods
The Riddle of the Sphinx asks “Which creature in the morning goes on four feet, at noon on two, and in the evening upon three?” The answer is, of course, a hungover photographer. A tripod has two main parts: The head, to which the camera fixes, and the legs, which keep everything up. Both are equally important, and both can have a lot of extras, some of which are very handy and some of which are useless. The Legs The most important thing is stability. After all, the whole point of a tripod is to support the camera and keep it steady, either for use at slow shutter speeds or because you want to keep the camera locked in one place for multiple exposures (High Dynamic Range photography, for instance). Go Speed Racer, Lego!
I had a chance to see the Speed Racer movie last weekend, and if you haven’t seen it yet, let me give you my one sentence review: “Even though this film is full of nothing but unbelievable special-effects, action, and characters, it must not be missed.” Yes, nothing will help you tap into your inner child like the Speed Racer movie. If you really want to delve deep into your inner child, get some of the new Speed Racer Lego sets. The new sets include the cars from the movie, plus the drivers. These Lego sets include: Speed Racer and Snake Oiler (set 8158), Racer X and Taejo Togokahn (set 8159), Cruncher Block and Racer X (set 8160), as well as the Grand Prix Race (set 8161) which has the Mach 6, Gray Chost, and Cannonball Taylor’s GRX car along with eight minifigures. iMainGo 2 MP3 Player Speaker
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this year, Portable Sound Laboratories unveiled the iMainGo 2, an upgrade to the iMainGo. The iMainGo is a speaker system designed with the ipod in mind, but can accommodate other MP3 Players. In fact, the iMainGo 2 has a new feature to help fit all kinds of MP3 Players. This custom fit technology, also known as iMainGo Foam, is a spongey thing that allows whatever brand of mp3 player, be it the Zune, Zen Stone, or anything else, to be securely housed. Another new feature of the iMainGo 2 is the upgraded high quality, premium titanium speakers which give unusually high-quality sound for something its size. The original iMainGo made quite a mark on the marketplace. (Read the full post about ‘iMainGo 2 MP3 Player Speaker’…)
