Logitech Finally Gives In, Launches Mac-Only Webcam
After years of ignoring the existence of Apple’s Mac OS X, Logitech has finally given in to the demand. Assuming there is a demand there. Sure, modern Mac’s come with embedded webcams built right into the system, but you have to figure there are plenty of people who want a more feature rich alternative than the good old Photo Booth. So great, Logitech has announced their new QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac systems. The first Logitech cam which works with the OS. But what can this new camera provide that our Mac’s don’t already offer us? Let’s take a look at the features and specs. The QuickCam Vision Pro will offer a 2.0-megapixel sensor with a Carl Zeiss lens and is compatible with both iChat and Skype for video conferencing. BlackBerry Kickstart Pic
Our friends on sister site Uberphones have managed to snag a leaked image of RIM’s upcoming blackberry - the Kickstart. This one looks rather bulky, but it does hold the distinction of being the first clamshell handset from BlackBerry. Hopefully the specifications and performance are up to snuff when it is finally released. Tags: mobiles, electronic toys, M4A, hdtv (Read the full post about ‘BlackBerry Kickstart Pic’…)

AOL releases AIM for Windows Mobile
There are a number of third party programs out there that let you enjoy AIM on your mobile, but nothing beats one directly from the source: AOL. AIM for Windows Mobile lets you IM or text, update your AIM status, manage your buddy list, and more, all from your Windows mobile device. This latest beta release of AIM for Windows Mobile supports the T-Mobile Wing, Sprint Mogul, HTC Touch, Blackjack II, Tilt, Samsung ACE, Motorola Q, Verizon Wireless 6800, and most Palm Treos. I already went to the site and downloaded it and plan to test it out on the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Advantage, so we’ll see what other phones it’s “unofficially” supporting. Review: Asus M50Sv-B1 Notebook Computer
Despite the large amount of 17-inch notebooks we are seeing lately, 15.4-inch models still remain practical and affordable. This size does a good job of matching desktop-replacement use with the possibility of portability if you need to use it on-the-go. Additionally, the size generally comes with price advantages compared to both smaller and larger systems. This review takes a look at the M50Sv-B1, an entertainment and general use notebook from Asus. Rather than being you’re typical 15.4-inch boring book Asus did a few interesting things with the M50Sv-B1. It is part of the M50 series, which means a 15.4-inch display, discrete graphics, and a number pad but there are surprises as well. A microwave beam weapon
A microwave beam weaponJun 25, 2008 A microwave beam weapon is not a fantasy nowadays, it really exists. It works in the following way: the so-called active denial system (ADS) projects microwave-like radiation even for more than 500 yards. This system makes a painful, full-body burning sensation in someone who got in its rays. Can you imagine that these millimeter-wave rays permeate skin into a depth of about 1.64in? But the most important aspect is that as the result you get just temporary damages. The ADS have a lot of advantages, and the result have been seen for the last few years. The Scientific Development Branch is working on a portable variant of the ADS, because these prototypes of the weapon weigh about 3 tones. (Read the full post about ‘A microwave beam weapon’…)

Rogers announces BlackBerry Bold launch party dates, locations
While Rogers has still not officially stated when consumers will be able to purchase a blackberry Bold, they have officially announced a series of “by-invitation-only” launch party dates. One would begin to assume that the handset would be available following those events, but we also know what happens when we assume, so we are going to sit back and wait until Rogers is kind enough to make a new announcement. The special events are taking place across Canada and run from July 8 and end on July 17. The first event is in Toronto on July 8, then Montreal a day later, with about a week in between they pick up on July 15 in Calgary and finish up in Vancouver on July 17.
