Rogers Wireless might get the BlackBerry Bold on July 25

The word on the street is that Rogers might feature the Bold as early as July 25th, before the U.S release which is supposed to happen on August 25th at AT&T. Now what are the data rates going to be? That my friends, is the question. Tags: game, home theater, laptops, robots (Read the full post about ‘Rogers Wireless might get the BlackBerry Bold on July 25′…)

LCD Magnifier Adds a Faux-Finder to Digicams

LCD Magnifier Adds a Faux-Finder to Digicams
This loupe on a loop is an attempt to answer a question we have never asked, namely “How can I turn my camera’s LCD screen into a viewfinder?” The PRO-MC monitoring with two straps (to unfairly quote its machine translated name) is a $50 widget which sits over any LCD screen up to 3″ and magnifies it. The rubber edged box also cuts out extraneous light, which could conceivably help you in very bright sunlight, especially if you don’t have an optical viewfinder. I want to sneer at this as being a totally useless product, an overpriced niche toy, but two things stop me. One, I think that getting the camera up to your eye, by whatever means, will give you better photographs — more considered and certainly less shaky. According to Venture Beat, Microsoft could acquire Powerset as early as next month with a price tag in the $100 million range–more than double the estimated value of the company.

The Powerset search engine first debuted in May. Using simple phrases, short questions, and of course keywords, Powerset is supposed to understand what you are looking for and help you quickly find the information you need.

Ever since Microsoft’s failed bid for Yahoo, the company has been searching for another way to compete with Google. Powerset’s natural language or semantic based technology would seem to fit in with Microsoft’s strategy.

Eos Multi-Room Audio System Gives You a Syncing Feeling
Eos 100T1RB Wireless Audio SystemGetting a multi-room sound system and an iPod to play nice isn’t always easy. Despite the number of workarounds, the end result is almost always the same: a mess of wires and audio that goes from slightly askew to horridly unbalanced when you move from the living room to the kitchen. Believe it or not, the solution isn’t that complex. All manufacturers need to do is ditch the wires without forsaking audio quality, and add a system for balancing volume between the speakers.  By the numbers, Eos’ 100T1RB Wireless Audio System is what any wire entangled apartment needs. The relatively small system consists of a base station with an ipod/iphone dock, an auxiliary out port, and satellite speakers capable of wirelessly syncing to the base. Tesla announces plans for sub-$60K Model S sport-sedan

Written by admin on Tuesday, July 1st, 2008 in Gadgets and Devices.

Tesla Motors made a big splash last year, with the introduction of their Roadster model. The car is 100% electric and can go from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. That’s a big deal. Throw in the fact that the Roadster is also an attractive convertible, and you can see why Tesla’s stock just keeps rising and rising. Unfortunately, the starting price is US$109,000 with a lot of add-on costs for the less humble among us.

The Roadster is manufactured in California, so it seemed only natural that when announcing their plans for a new model, they would invite Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to make the announcement for them.
